Departure

This morning L and E shared a couple of hours at the beach with some of the very best friends they have in the world.

They munched on bites of bagel, played in the waves and caught sand crabs. They were as free as the ocean itself.

I want to always remember these little friends, these tender hearts as playing together like they did today...even if there's never any other opportunity. That's what I want to remember.

Time passages

Fluting with friends
A well-loved crayon roll
Gemstone mathematics (Hours after school's out for summer? That's our boy.)

My heart is full tonight as we say goodbye to both 1st grade and to his home-away-from-home for the past year. It's been a year of good people and the wholesomeness Waldorf education provides...and it was just what he needed.

So proud of you, L...YOU did it.

T-minus

We're inching toward our big coast-to-coast move, now less than 2 weeks away...

- the rental is here (and the sunroof is SO cool)
- boxes sitting about
- quality time with our irreplaceable auntie
- quality time with our irreplaceable friends
- a pretty little postcard from the school store's sale rack to remember her by

Oh, and Mr T takes care of home-buying business on a daily basis. He's my hero.
